Positive: I liked the view, the attention of the owner, always willing to give the best information and help, the breakfast is very good and despite the simple location, everything was very clean.
Negative: The location is a bit complex, as at night after 6 p.m. you lose visibility and access, and i7t's not easy and dark. But it's a good price for a clean, warm bed and a great breakfast.

Positive: Such a beautiful place! Unfortunately it was raining when I was there so the volcano was covered in clouds. Peaceful, calm environment, a comfy bed and the most adorable cats and dogs. Isaias was super friendly and prepared delicious breakfast in the morning.

Positive: It was absolutely incredible and such a beautiful view! The breakfast and authenticity was our favorite!
Negative: It is a little difficult to find since Waze says it is across the lake. But go through El Castillo and soon after the pavement ends you will see a sign!

Positive: Really an exceptional spot. The accommodations are very rustic (think glorified camping), so as long as you're not expecting the Marriott you feel part of the forest with the sound of toucans and howler monkeys - and the views of Arenal and the lake are out of this world. Owners are lovely and have a ton of local information. Can walk to lake, river and nearby store and restaurant. Would stay again in a heartbeat and for longer.
Negative: Some might not like the drive (~400m) up to the property. It was nothing in a Landcruiser but might be a little sketch in a Camry. Anyway it keeps the riff raff out 😁

Positive: The view is clearly the best part of this place !
Negative: First of all be a aware that double bedroom means sleeping in a tent, which is allright, but then why not mentionning it directly on Booking so it will prevent disapointment when you reach the place late at night on a stormy day. So we were surprised and disappointed by this miscommunication. The shower was dirty. There is no cosy place to hang out if the weather is bad.

Positive: A very nice older man welcomed us and prepared an excellent typical breakfast in the morning. The camp site is quite with a fantastic view of volcano and lake. Many birds can be observed in the morning. Steep last meters to reach the camp ground.

Positive: I have only positive things to say about this place. First, it was very cheap so we didn’t expect such comfort. We were in a tent but it was more comfortable than most rooms I have been in. I loved that we could hear the birds and other animals at night and in the morning. The view to the volcano is amazing, you just can wake up, open the tent and see it! Finally, the host family is extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Very good value for money.
